Paying heed to the principal commandment of our beloved Lord who pronounced, “All authority under heaven and earth above has been given unto me. Therefore, go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation” brother Ravi Abraham immediately obeyed to God’s call. A lawyer cum politician, a profit-making entrepreneur, a successful Government Servant left it all for the Lord!

Thanks to the loving call of his Saviour, an enviable, fruitful and steady secular life which witnessed enormous success in all fronts, in the most unexpected way, turned upside down.

It was the time when the nation of India, particularly the state of Odisha was witnessing unprecedented violence against Christians. Mooted by the anti-gospel activists, the violence quickly spread like a forest fire, leaving the whole state in tatters!

Many a child of God who were drawn by the love of beloved saviour Jesus Christ faced false charges and fierce attack from the extremists just for having received the Gospel! The whole world was shocked to see the tears of children who lost their parents, howling of mothers who lost their own daughters, yelling of poor wives who lost their beloved husbands.

It was indeed the darkest period of history when more than six hundred churches, thousands of houses belonging to Christian families were tarnished and burnt down. Hundreds of people were mercilessly killed in the process. Even while the world was startled over the reports of cruelty unleashed against the Christians, our dear brother Evangelist Ravi Abraham who was following these events with tear filled eyes was called by God. Yes, God himself called him. It was an emergency call.

On the one hand were those who performed these horrendous and heartless attacks. On the other are those who having lost their lives and belongings ran into the hide-outs in forests and safety camps, fearing the life of their family members. In this dangerous setting, I got a call to serve amongst this forsaken population. An emergency call – a call from the Lord himself.

Counting whatever was profitable and pleasurable to him as loss and dung for Christ, our dear brother left for the troubled terrain with the sole objective of winning souls for his loving saviour. Having witnessed the most despicable situation of the people – of those living in fear of murder and dagger, of those who became orphans and homeless after the loss of their family members – and touched by the Calvary Love of loving Saviour he decided to stay back.

This Evangelical Ministry was born in this land of terror, a territory which had witnessed the most violent religious blood-shed in the nation’s history. And this trouble-ridden land turned out to be the birth-place of this ministry. This is its birth story.Through our brother Evangelist Ravi Abraham, the precious Gospel of Jesus Christ began to spread it wings like a fire in the land which had once witnessed large-scale violence and blood-shed.

With a loving seal that overwhelms even death, this effective and enterprising Gospel Journey trooped forward like a ‘chariot of fire’ dreading no danger, no sword, no beating and no scuffle. Through the streets and by-lanes, through the villages and towns, through the districts and states, the Gospel Fire of our beloved saviour Jesus Christ burnt and shined in all the places!

Despite the life-threatening calls of murderous mobs who vowed to burn everything down and the terrifying ‘anti-conversion’ laws in the states of Orissa and Maharashtra, the heroic heavenly journey championed by the Heavenly Father, the Almighty God neither sulked nor stopped. Undeterred and unperturbed by the oppositions and adversaries, this ministerial journey grew from strength to strength and began to shine with the help of great wonders and signs performed by the Lord. From street corner stands to tent meetings, from open-air campaigns to large-scale crusade meetings, the ministry continued to grow.

These crusades which began with the mighty outpouring from the Lord reached to the people of North India, especially to those living in the highly challenging regions of Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra the Gospel of Kingdom was preached with great power and authority.

Overwhelmed by the ‘truthfulness and faithfulness’ of their father Evangelist Ravi Abraham, both his children, son Prakash Abraham and daughter Jessie Wills, after their schooling, at the very age of 17 fully devoted themselves for this fire filled Gospel Ministry. Having discarded their dreams of a prosperous tomorrow and relinquishing the riches of this world, these children decided to shoulder their father in carrying the cross for the sake of Gospel journey.

The beloved wife our brother, Mrs. Wills Amudha, left her luxurious life and lucrative position of being the Principal of a school, to align with her husband in this sacrificial mission.

For the last few years, In the midst of countless challenges and even without a fixed dwelling place, like pilgrims they are moving from one place to another for the sake of Gospel and conducting weekly open air conventions and crusades.

It is only the zealous love of our beloved saviour, the love which is as strong as death, the passion which is as fierce as grave, the love which can neither be quenched by many waters nor drowned by floods, the love that cannot be bought by the ‘wealth of the house’ even if one offers it all for its sake, the passionate love of their beloved saviour has made them wander the streets of the world for the sake of Gospel. It is only this loving zeal which has made them sell properties, relinquish wealth all for the sake of meeting the needs of this Gospel Mission.

This dear brother, who had once ridiculed the act of giving one’s head for the Gospel mission, eventually offered his own family as living sacrifice for the same Gospel.

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, Because of your relentless sacrifices and incessant prayers, the Gospel fire is continuing to burn in all the nations. The days are coming when both the rulers of the nations and roadside beggars will bend their knees in the name of Jesus.

The pages of history note the fall and destruction of nations, rulers, governments which plotted to stop or supress the Gospel. But there is no single record this true, powerful and eternal Gospel failing or faltering in the annals of time!

No anti-Gospel ordinance, no Court of law, no violence, no beating, no life threatening, no incineration has overcome a man of God who moves with unflinching zeal and unquenchable passion for the Lord – a Love that is more powerful than death! Rather, such saintly servants only rose up to defeat the world and shine brightly for the Lord!

To the one who commissioned a street-wide mission of reaching the people with the Gospel our heavenly father named him as ‘Ravi Abraham’ and directed his ministry’s victory march towards the nations.

This Gospel journey, from the challenging areas in India including cities, districts and states to the no-so-easy terrains of Africa viz., Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda, is moving sacrificially towards many other nations.

Forget not those who are perishing every day without knowing the difference between the right hand and left and those who are caught in the extreme hunger, starvation and poverty.

The one who said “This Gospel of Kingdom shall be proclaimed throughout the world …and then the end will come. The one who declared “I go and make a place for you” is going to return as Eternal Judge…as Great King. Our blessed saviour Jesus Christ has promised that he is coming with rewards according to the works of each man. Do not abandon the good works of your hands. They are sure to get rewarded abundantly.
